While driving up the beautiful Catalina Highway, travel through four completely different ecological strata. From stately saguaro cactus at the bottom, to the pine and aspen groves at the top, the drive is incredibly beautiful. Especially interesting along the way, are the many fascinating rock formations.

It currently hosts races from the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series and was the home of Winter Heat Series before it was moved to Phoenix International Raceway. The track is also known for hosting NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events from 1995 to 1997. The Adaptation Zone houses animals such as the Polar Bear and Aldabra Giant Tortoise, the South American Animals zone houses animals such as the Jaguar and Spectacled Bear, the Asian Animals zone features animals such as the Muntjac and Gibbon, and the African Animals zone features animals such as the Lion and Giraffe. A large aviary entitled "Flight Connection" hosts dozens of species of birds from Australia, Africa, and Asia. |
